Choose Your Battles

This morning as I was finishing to get dressed, Lydia was doing her
own thing. When I was finished, I went and found her purple boots and
green stripped socks. I was standing in the kitchen and Lydia walked
passed me. She was already wearing shoes. It seems she found her Crocs
knock-offs and put them on herself. Not only that, but on the correct
feet. I then tried to change her shoes to the boots, she was going to
have none of that. She had a tantrum, one that I didn't want to deal
with, so I made a compromise. I put on her green stripped socks and
she went to school in her Crocs.

Well, she's having a Whitecastle cheseburger for dinner and loving it.

Napping

I received a call from Lydia's school today, on my way to work. They said she had a rash all over her body, so as soon as I got to work I turned around and went back to get her.

She has hives. The nurse I spoke with, at the doctor's office, said it could be a reaction to the virus she had last week. Lydia has a doctor's appointment later today.

She is resting now and I am waiting for Jen to come home -- I will then go to work.

She is ill, but she's still an angel.
